Nestled on the Big Island’s west coast in Kailua-Kona, Club Wyndham Kona Hawaiian Resort captures the relaxed elegance of 1930s Hawaii while delivering today’s expected comforts. The property sits on more than thirty sloping acres overlooking Kahului Bay, surrounded by tropical courtyards and historic landscaping that invite slow mornings and golden-hour strolls. Guests enjoy two outdoor swimming pools, a children’s pool, two outdoor hot tubs, a fitness center, barbecue areas, and an activities desk offering lei making, ukulele lessons, and Hawaiian storytelling. Live entertainment such as the Aloha Monday Party with music and hula dancing adds to the resort atmosphere. Concierge services and laundry facilities are available on site. The resort is located at 75-5961 Alii Drive, a short drive or walk from Kailua-Kona town shops, restaurants, and Honl’s Beach. A vehicle or rideshare is recommended due to limited sidewalks. No resort shuttle operates. A $250 refundable security deposit hold is taken at check-in; BNB Services does not collect this fee. Parking is free on site with one vehicle per unit. Suite renovations are underway through October 2025 and may produce occasional noise or contractor activity. Phase-one pool maintenance occurs periodically; phase two remains open. Contact the resort at (808) 334-4700 for current conditions. The 24-hour front desk assists with check-in from 4:00 PM and check-out by 10:00 AM. This setting suits couples, families, and small groups seeking a central base for exploring waterfalls, nearby beaches, golf courses, and volcanoes while returning each evening to pools, gardens, and evening entertainment. Check-in is 4:00 PM and check-out is 10:00 AM at the front desk. The person checking in must be at least 21.
